Ok guys, I picked up Hitman on Blu ray today and tossed the insert. Unfortunately the Insert carries the code that allows you to download the Digital copy (it's a .wmv file, I checked on the dvd file contents) onto your PC. I have the disc, it's sitting there but some form of copy protection keeps me from playing back the file of course.

What type of CP is on this and how do we get around it?? I'd like to be able to use what I got without a stupid code.

Take the disk back to the store and tell them that the insert "is missing" (not a lie). They will replace it.

We will not discuss downloaded materials like that on this forum.

Well, it's not really "downloaded", (not trying to be contrary if this actually is against the rules), but rather it's a .wmv file on the Disc itself already, just basically CP'd and needs to be unlocked.

Since you own the DVD, take it back for a replacement. It's doubtful anyone here can defeat the protection for you.

I got back and they refused me :(, I hate Walmart. The guy at the register refused saying that I could have stolen the code and just want another one. He could replace the discs but he would have to take the code from the replacement . Well, it's not a big deal, I was just curious if the drm could be stripped out being that fox is using a version of Apples DRM to encode the digital copies with. I can see the dang file on the DVD and pull it to my comp from the disc but the drm needs the license for playback. No biggie in the end. If I really need a computer copy I can just encode it from the DVD using Megui. Just thought I'd be lazy and see if the drm was cracked yet.
