Hi, i've been having some problems with streaming a converted hd dvd (vc1) to blu ray (m2ts) with the PS3. However, when i burn it to a blu ray disc it plays back but stutters (like its skipping frames). BTW the Video and audio are in sync.
The process im using is as follows:
1.Ripping with anydvd
2.using Evodemux and selecting the video and audio stream.
3.Eac3to to convert the DD+ to DD
4.Vc1conv with the video stream
5.Using tsMuxeR to create .ts (im delaying audio by 1sec and forcing 24/1001)
5. Using Tsremuxer to create the blu ray folder/structure.
When I try and stream it to the ps3 its just a black screen with no audio or video. My (blu ray rips work fine via streaming).
I have searched this forum and the internet but haven't been able to find a solution....can anyone help me?

I admit to being a total noob and am just learning, but might there be a way to feed the VC-1 stream to the PS3 w/out converting to AVC? I thought that the PS3 can handle the VC-1 codec, and transcoding is a huge pain. Anyway, interested to see how this thread develops.

Probably not the answer your looking for but I ripped my HD DVD's to my PC and encoded them as MPEG2. I then muxed this with the extracted audio (converted to ac3 if required) to a program stream (.mpg). This streams perfectly to my PS3.
If your interested, let me know and I'll list my steps.

Hi, that would be great if you could list your steps. Also are encoding vc-1 to mpeg2?

you need to reencode your video stream I am thinking. I have a tutorial on how to reencode here http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=135795

Why dont he uses the VC-1 stream and use tsmuxergui to make a BluRay DVD-9?

PS3 only supports VC-1 in a WMV container. It does not (yet) support VC-1 in the M2TS container.
Update:
Answered the wrong question, but what the topic was about. :) I assume that TsMuxer is producing AVCHD disks. AVCHD does not support VC-1. They only support MPG2 and AVC. You have to create a full blow BluRay disc for VC-1. I'm guessing most players don't support non AACS discs BluRay discs.
In short, I think you have to transcode to AVC.

My steps
1. Ripping with anydvd
2. using tsmuxer 1.5 and selecting the video and audio stream in demux mode
3. Eac3to to convert the DD+ to DD
4a. Vc1conv 0.3 ver (http://www.w6rz.net/vc1conv.zip)with the VC-1 video stream -> 1080p/24fps
4b. h264info with the AVC video stream (forcing 23.976 fps & remove 3:2 pull down flags) -> 1080p/24fps
5. Using Tsmuxer 1.5 to mux 3. & 4. to create the blu ray folder/structure (forcing 24/1001)
6. Burn the BD if you want

Would it be possible to mux to a TS or something that would stream?
