Hello
I have a few .mkv files that I wish to convert to .avi
The .mkv files has multiply audio tracks and subtitle tracks.
Now to the question:
How can I convert these files to a .avi with the audio and subtitle tracks i choose?
Hope it explains all, If not I'll try to explain again. :)

MKV and AVI are just containers for different CODEC's, and are not always directly compatible with each other. What CODEC did you use to create the MKV? You might be better off to start with your original DVD.

I did not create the MKV
However I manage to extract the video, sound and subtitle with mkvextract.
XVID-coded is used for the video. The sound i don't know. Its extension is .aac. And the subtitle had the extension .ass.
I tried merging the video and audio in VirtualDub, but it wont accept .aac files. It wants it in .mp3 or .wav.
I've tried countless applications to convert .aac to .mp3 but none of them worked. Even tried with foobar2000 but no success.

I did not create the MKV. That's a violation of forum rule 6. Thread closed.
