it was the fifth time i tried on my server, but it still can't be finished, system will down through the encoding...
I have tried x264 747+and 748+, but i failed.

Intel Xeon 5335
4G FB DDR667
Seagate 500G 7200.10
using windows server 2003
and encoding file is:
[アニメ] PERSONA -trinity soul- ペルソナ ~トリニティ・ソウル~ 第10話 「影は薄暮に微笑う」 (D-MXTV DivX6.6 1280x720).avi

i'm not sure the reason that which cause system crashes, but it crashed five times when i encoding this file

i tried use low priority, defrag driver, check error of driver, but it didn't take effect...

now i have no idea that how to solve this problem..

Dont know about windows server 2003 but i had a similar situation with xp turned out to be disk errors ran a check disk utility on my drives and checked auto fix file system errors and attempt to recover bad sectors. i have no doubt u will have disk errors after ur pc crashing all the time i know u checked this all ready but make sure you check for bad sectors also you might want to check ur cpu is not over heating encoding is very demanding on ur cpu http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ also if u have overclocked ur pc it may not be stable other than that maybe a possible hardware software conflict somewhere. installed any new hardware software lately.
