Blade Runner: The Final Cut, looks awful

Is it just me or is anybody else disappointed with the image quality of Blade Runner: The Final Cut (DVD release).

Thankfully those horrible noisy black mattes have gone (to the sides of the image), that were so prevalent on the Directors Cut DVD release. There's also no denying that more image has been captured from the film source.

But why have we gone from this (as found on The Directors Cut version): -

He must have wanted to change the tone of the film by using different colours ;).

But "The Final Cut" version looks blurred and washed out.

imho, I prefer this last one...:) but it's a personal taste.

yeah he must have wanted that Matrix Like surreal appeareance it looks nice, tough about brightening up the Shadows people can argue personal taste wise it takes away the Film Noir look and Feel a little in some scenes :)
Makeing Harisons Ford face better visible i dunno why he did that now, i mean you could think he had full controll to see that on the Monitor back then "lightning conditions" so a little strange that he now decided to brighten them up in what seems to be alot of Scenes.

Does anybody here have the high-def disc version of this film. If so, can they provide a still image from this scene?

Yes i have the Blu-ray (same as the HD DVD) and a 720p encode of it. I can provide a screen of the encode currently. I will be able to post a blu-ray screen in a week or so. Just tell me the part of the movie (time) where this screen is made from, because i can't find it.

The people in charge thought the last 2 matrix movies looked really awesome? Other than that, I've got no idea.
