View Full Version : PowerDVD Ultra problem: sound pitch too low

Hello everybody!

I have a problem with PowerDVD Ultra that drives me insane. I have recorded several episodes of a computer magazine TV show via DVB-S card, one as .TS and some as .MPG. I use PowerDVD to play them, and whenever I play the MPEG files, the sound pitch is too low. It's clearly audible, since voices are too deep, and the title sound of the show is clearly in a lower tune than in the TS file.
I have recorded a movie and converted it do a DVD, with both MPEG and Dolby Digital sound. The MPEG sound pitch is too low, the Dolby Digital sound pitch is just fine.

But only in PowerDVD Ultra, and only with the Ultra version! I have a non-Ultra PowerDVD from my TV card (Technotrend S2-3200), and it plays the files just fine! Unfortunately, the Ultra version has more features, obviously. :p

I have absolutely no idea what is going on and what I could do. I've extensively searched the net and found absolutely nothing.

Any ideas at all? :)

Greetz,
Lord Voldemort

[Edit] I'm using the analog outputs of a Soundblaster Audigy 4.
