VFW codecs got all messed up...

Experimented with DivX 5,4,3, and 6 lately, with ffdshow VFW and Xvid also installed...

Everything went kablooie! :p Odd discoloration when previewing files in VirtualDub. Playing with VLC or MPC does not have this.

Anyone know a way to configure VFW decoders?

Colorspace Renderer seems to be the problem try to force ffdshows colorspace renderer for all Colorspaces and see if that fixes it (Video Decoder Configuration) it will overwrite the registry of wichever of those you installed @ last and register itself instead.

I fixed it... turns out it was not what I thought :)

Used system restore to get rid of the bad codecs, and then with just Xvid and ffdshow there was still problems. Tried every force colorspace in Xvid, didn't work. Turns out, Xvid was the problem... uninstalled them both and reinstalled, this time telling Xvid not to decode other FourCCs. Now, videos set to DX50 FourCC, which had the problem, no longer exhibit the problem, as ffdshow decodes them alone :)
