help deinterlacing old ntsc r1 anime dvd

i can't deinterlace properly this video(m2v cut using dgindex 1.5.0rc2):

it is a mid '80 anime ntsc r1(usa) dvd. everyway i try(using yatta),i get bad edges and lines.wich deinterlacer would be appropiate?any suggestion on how to remove that halo and rainbow effects?thanks

I just ran it with

tdeint(mode = 0)

fixed it in a jiffy. I'm not experienced with AVIsynth nearly as much as other here...but this did fix it visually...

i'm trying like this(via yatta):

but i still get some visible interlaced artifacts.should i decimate to 23,976fps or just live it at 29,970fps?wich deinterlacer would work good?

Interlaced artefacts? Please elaborate or post a screencap of one or two...

You decimate what needs to be decimated and set no decimate on whatever that doesn't, otherwise you might end up with stuttering motion. As far as to which deinterlacer to use, if you mean postprocessing, YMMV.

What I can suggest is you try to find the closest pattern in yatta, after you've run it in ymc with telecide->scxvid->decimate.

Disable postprossing then set a preset to use Vinverse() and set problem scenes to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.
If you have to use a post processor, use tdeint type=3 or a preset with a better one, those should be your two best choices.
