Hi there..
I'd like to ask an advice in this matter. I've got mp3 audio from TV and I would like to make a copy of my DVD with this track added. So, I need to convert the track to AC3, make a new menu entry in audio selection and put it all together to burn. I didn't even succeeded in first, converting step. Tried BeSweet ( -ac3enc( -b 192 )) but it produced unplayable file. :-/ And more, I know how sensitive is IFO structure, so I'm looking for applications which won't mess up whole disk and make it 100% DVD video compliant. Any hints, please?

I'd say you're probably in for a long hard road. When I finally get the audio processing module completed for DVD-RB it may make it a little easier, but that will be a while (assumign I ever get it done).

The likelihood that you'll be able to sync the TV audio to the film is a low probability (not impossible, though). You'll need some authoring software (Muxman, maybe). You will have to extract all the video/existing audio from the DVD, and then reauthor adding the new audio as well.

I normally do these types of conversions with SpruceUp, a simple authoring app I acquired a long time ago that isn't supported anymore. But there are others (Scenarist, Maestro, ReelDVD etc) that can do it just as well.

Good luck.

Now I noticed I used wrong thread, srry. It was supposed to go into "(HD) DVD & Blu-ray authoring" but I was studying DVD-RB before posting..
jdobbs> Thanks. Sync won't be problem, I ripped DVD and synced audio with it. I'll check those sw you mentioned, hopefully they allow me to keep all bonuses and other stuff too.

jdobbs> Hi, I finally checked those programs you mentioned and I was almost scared when I found out price of e.g. DVD Maestro..;-) What about some free tools, do I have any chance? IfoEdit, maybe? Or those free tools cannot be trusted?

There's freeware for pretty much everything. For authoring you may want to check out Muxman.
