I have a .m2ts file with the main English track being a PCM track. When I import the .m2ts file into TMPGENC for converting it cant 'read' the PCM audio track. But when I play the .m2ts file in Windows Media Player, it plays perfect. Is there any way I cant take that PCM track and convert it straight into a AC3 track so TMPGEC can recognize it?
Any help is appreciated.

Demux it with DGIndex and then convert it with BeSweet.

Read the DGIndex user's manual (Audio Output Method). You may need to use the SOX audio processor. I don't know offhand if BeSweet can accept raw PCM (I'm doubtful). If not, use SOX to convert it to WAV.

You can also demux it with xport and convert it with eac3to.

I used DGIndex to take the PCM file out and now I am using eac3to to convert the PCM to a .ac3 file, lets see how it works!

For some reason the 5.1 audio skips around after I convert it to .ac3. Not sure where I went wrong since I can't test the PCM audio because none of my media player can play it...

Post a link to a chunk of the M2TS file.

What program would I use to do that?

DGSplit. Set it to split 20 MBytes and then start it. When it starts writing the second file, kill it. The first file will be the first 20 MBytes of your stream.
