hi, thanx for you prompt answer

i need something more accurate than quicktime pro
i cannot enter a range numerically (or i donīt know how to do it)
besides, if try to export inside qt pro, it closes the window (hangs?) abruptly...

cutting/splitting .mov and export it without reencodingIf you're not going to re-encode, select "Save" or "Save as" (not "Export")...if try to export inside qt pro, it closes the window (hangs?) abruptly...If this is a purchased version, contact Tech Support, as this should not happen...

You try MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/)?
This editor use and require installed QuickTime (or QuickTime Alternative).
Can open MOV file, edit (example cutting) and save without recompression (Save As... option).

yes, but īsaveī or īsave asī option disregards the range i set, and exports the whole movie1) Set the range you wish to copy - select "Copy"
2) Select "Open new player"
3) From within the new player, select "Paste" - and then "Save as"
