Playback problem of MPEG4 file format...

Hello friends!

I have a DVD player that supports MPEG4 and I have been watching a lot of MPEG4 contents in it, both downloaded stuff as well as home shot videos.

Recently I marked that some of MPEG4 contents fail to play in the player. I brought a DVD yesterday and converted it into XVID using AutoGK, but was unable to run it in my player. Then I converted the same movie to DIVX (thinking it may work now) but failed again. Just to check if the player is working fine, I tried some old MPEG4 contents in my collection and they all worked fine.

I am just not able to understand why is it not working. I am posting the details of the file so that you may understand the codec better...

Thanks for pointing out but I dont think I have anything illegal here. It basically is a problem of playback of MPEG4 file format. As for the DVD, I have a original legal DVD that I tried to convert. Moreover, its just not with that particular DVD, but with a few of my home shot videos also. As for the downloaded MPEG4 stuff, I didnt mean illegal stuff from P2P but free stuff and some small and funny videos from youtube. Frankly speaking, we really dont need to pirate DVD's or waste our bandwidth and time downloading movies as in India we can rent a DVD for as less as Rs.5 (10 Cents) and buy a DVD for Rs.40 (1 Dollar).
