An uncompressed 1280x720p @ 23.976fps quicktime is approx 47 mins long. After importing it into cinevision to encode, Cinevision adds more or less 2 minutes to the movie read in the timecode viewer in Cinevision. After bringing it into Scenarist HDMV, this is proven as the audio drifts short of the actual video by 2 minutes more or less. It appears that Cinevision is adding frames to the video because the audio is 23.976fps, same as the original uncompressed quicktime. After encoding the video with Cinevision, the movie is 49 minutes long, not 47 minutes as the original uncompressed quicktime.
This even occurs on movies which are short as 7 minutes in length, resulting with audio that drifts as much as 8 seconds short of the video towards the end. Could this be a flag that has to be set or is there a problem using an uncompressed quicktime to encode with? Even a jpeg sequence and changing flags were tried by no luck, perhaps there is a flag unknown to the Blu-ray author.
Any help would be appreciated to resolve this issue, thanks.
