So, I have these two DVD burners acting wierd. A Samsung and an LG. I just recently reformatted my PC.
LG-4167B
Forgot the Samsung model.
The Samsung is master and the LG is slave on a single IDE cable.
Before the reformat, the LG detected absolutely every DVD I fed it, while the Samsung hardly detected anything. But after the reformat, it's now the LG that hardly reads anything, and the Samsung reads everything. They burn DVDs without any problems though. It's just that I have to eject and close the drive multiple times before it finally recognizes a disc. I've had the LG for 1 1/2 years now, and the Samsung for less than half a year.
Help?
