Hey folks. I have been monitoring the other treads that are devoted to this encoding. Not much mention to TMPG. I bought the software and would like to use and while there has been some talk as to how to use it I haven't seen a lot of actual instructions. I I'm new this type of encoding and just looking for some guidance. Have people been able to do these encodes succesfully with TMPG? How is it being done? What decoders are you using? I would love to hear what people are doing for this. I hope this is the right forum too. My immediate apologies if it is not. :thanks:

TMPGEnc makes only MPEG video.

I believe it makes more than that. It supports encoding to WMV (which I have done) as well as MPEG, DivX, AVI, and a few others.

No version I have does it. Perhaps there is a more recent one that does. Anyway, if you're already doing it, then what is the point of your question?

EDIT: Checked TMPGEnc site and you are correct. So what is your question exactly?

My question is how do you use TMPG to re-encode HD-DVD? I've used formats that it has supported to do simple conversions. I've never tried HD-DVD (which of course it doesnt support) nor the audio like DD+. So basically I'm just wondering how people with TMPG re-encode their HD-DVD's using this software. I've been following the other tutorials on this type of encoding and there's no real talk to TMPG and I would like to use it since I paid for it. Hope that's a little more clear cut.
