MPC-HC : How to playback .EVO files ??

There is no need to import GRF : MPC can read EVO directly if you set-up properly internal/external filters.
Little tips :
- disable AC3/DTS and Mpeg internal filters
- install latest Haali splitter, and enable MPEG TS/PS source
- add all unwanted filters in "External filters" and set "block" radio button

I'm having difficulties with this.

I currently have MPC-HC setup nicely to play .MKV files using Haali and CoreAVC and SPDIFER in the external filters. .AVI files use ffdshow and SPDIFER. VC-1 files using Matroska container player nicely with Haali, WMVdecoder and AC3FILTER, etc.

.EVO file type defaulted to Zoom Player (since it was not setup in MPC-HC) and ZP played it with Haali, WMVdecoder but no sound decoder at all. When I changed the .EVO default to MPC-HC, MPC-HC played the audio only but no video screen at all (and no video in the Filters list).

Those have to be turned off, but there was no option to turn them on anywhere...

I ended up uninstalling Haali Media Splitter, and when I reinstalled it, there was an "MPEG-PS" option, which is unchecked by default, so since this is what is used by EVO files, I checked it.

I also had to set Haali Media Splitter to "prefer" in MPC-HC, and then I ended up with the same as Zoom Player - i.e. video (using WMV decoder), but no audio, except that I get a black screen in MPC-HC while it plays (the video plays fine in ZP).

Again, no audio even in the Graph on either player.

UPDATE: I was looking around in the ZP forums, and saw this - perhaps it is related ? :
Smartplay fails for TS files with MP2 audio if versions of Haali splitter are used that are newer than "1.7.189.11". The reason is that newer versions of Haali Splitter no longer output the Subtype {00000055-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71} for the audio but use "MPEG1AudioPayload" instead. Test files can be found at "http://x264.nl/h.264.samples/" for example the file "euro1080.hd5.ts".
