I want to go from my DV camcorder to a CD that can be played on my standalone DVD player. I would like to know the best way to do that for the least amount of money. I bought a Studio DV package w/firewire card which seems to work well. I have a Plextor CDRW.

I'd like to know which combination of software would be best to take the movie from Studio DV to my CD. I've read a lot on the net about all sorts of different packages from freeware to way more than I could ever spend. There seems to be at least a dozen programs to do the same thing in different ways. What's the best for a person on a budget w/o having to use a command line?

Thanks for any input you may have.

Get it at www.vcdsp.com,
It's dead simple to use from capture thru to dvd, vcd, svcd authoring.
I have the same studio card as you and a plextor 12x432 scsi,
liteon 24x10x40, and a pioneer A03 and they all work fine. :)
