multiple discs to one?

I have a video that came on two DVDs. I'd like to shrink it to one disc, but I want to get rid of the break too... where it says "please insert the second disc" at the end of disc1. I'd like to sew the two videos together.

What are my options? Has this been discussed already?

In disk one, using re-author mode, set the end frame to get rid of the insert disk 2 message.
