Has anyone else out there noticed a general surge in the amount of "dud" dvdrs that people seem to be cranking out??
More and more of the traded dvds I've received in the past 6 months or so, cannot be backed-up.
These are, burns made on quality dvdr media (TDK & Sony for the most part, although I've encountered the problem on Maxell's as well), that dvd decrypter (& Anydvd) will choke on/ spit-back as having read errors or scratches when the dvds are in pristine condition. These dvds always play fine on all home dvd players, quite simply, they can't be extracted.
It's definitely not a D drive issue. I've taken the dvds to friends' and their extraction attempts failed as well.
Is there no such thing as quality control anymore or has something changed in the manufacturing of dvdrs over the past year? OR.....is this a burning software issue?
Any insight/ advice/ suggestions/ common ground experiences are appreciated.
