You could try the CCCP (http://www.cccp-project.net/) as regular Haali/ffdshow tryouts does not work for me at least when it comes to M2TS files & MPC-HC (if you force it only the audio plays and if you rename to .ts only the video plays).

VLC is the only reliable player of M2TS files I've found or use Zoom player with the CCCP installed.

I don't know what in the CCCP pack makes it work as they use haali/ffdshow tryouts too but be aware that WMP/WMC can occasionally crash on M2TS files when they attempt to read a thumbnail from those files.

A simple registry entry will make the file appear in media center just add M2TS to this one (http://homepage.eircom.net/~rock2002/Blog/Vista%20MP4-MKV-M4V-TS.reg) and they should show in window media center.

M2TS do show up in media center, but i get no video or picture.

I'm using Vista Codec Pack, had issues in past with CCCP.

Never tested the Vista codec pack, for me the CCCP was the only one that worked for M2TS through directshow players. My M2TS files were generated from AutoMKV (H.264/AC3) if that makes any difference.

I've had similar problems, seems like I installed HDTVPump or something to get the ts files to play in Media Center, but I don't think it ever really worked right. Media Center is a very strange beast, and I'll probably be reinstalling the whole thing over this weekend, which I dread because of things just like you're having trouble with, it took an act of congress to get things to work and when it's all said and done, I still am not sure what really made some things work.
