I guess I'm lame, but I couldn't find anything on this topic...

Is there a decent application available that will allow me to convert a quicktime file (.mov) to something VirtualDub can open and edit?

OR... is there an application that will allow me to open a Quicktime (.mov) file similar to what I can do with VirtualDub for other file types?

I have a .mov file I want to crop some frames from and save as avi/mpeg4 or something similar.

There are two Avisynth plugins that allow you to import Quicktime files: QTSource and QTReader.

With vdub version 1.7.7 onwards you can use plugins to load mpeg2,flv,wmv and quicktime files. links for downloading plugins are in
