I've used MediaPlayer Classic for years... and would like to learn about some advanced features like Internal and External Filters. I read 'YDYs Documentation (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=144472)' but did not find details on Filters. Are there other documents/tutorials on how to use mpc Filters?

For example - When I look at the options for extenal filters I see many to choose from. Are the 'ATI' filters from my ATI video card? Where/how is MPC creating this list...and how do I learn what these filters can do? I did some googling for filter help but did not find what I need. :thanks:

That is just a list of all DirectShow filters that are installed on your computer. It is not something specific to MPC.

Also, to add - yes, those ATI filters are related to your ATI video card; either they came preinstalled with your PC or they got installed when you installed your video card drivers. MPC prepares this list by looking up the entries in the Windows Registry. Each of these filters would be listed under a unique clsid there.
