I recently recieved the DVD Three pack with Ghostbusters, Stripes and Groundhog Day and have ripped and converted both stripes and groundhog day. However, when attempting to rip Ghostbusters I get read errors.

MagicDVDRipper: Gets generic bad sector error and quits.

DVDDecrypter: Hangs on VTS02_2 and 02_3. Does not show a error just multiple attempts per sector.

DVDFab HD Decrypter (both 4.0.5 as well as 4.0.6.5): The DVD will open normally and when getting to VTS02_2 & VTS02_3 will hang up. Disk will NOT open when pathplayer is enabled.

DVD plays normally with cyberlink, WMP, and in standalone players. Disk was removed from case and placed into PC, surface is immaculate.

I did not try AnyDVD as I do not own a copy of that software.

Any help or Suggestions.

Hi!

Based on the location of the problem reads, I'd suggest it's either a bad pressing or physical damage that may not be readily visible.

Unfortunately, good playback doesn't prove that a DVD isn't flawed.

I'd suggest you try cleaning the DVD (even though you say it's "flawless") and try ripping it again. If it fails again, I'd suggest you return it to the place of purchase in exchange for a new replacement...

sometimes just cloning the movie itself works...

@ranimsvee

You keep writing:

"download the trail version of any dvd, as well as clone dvd"

in all your posts. This is spam, and if you don't stop it, you will be struck. Thank you.

Also, don't follow up on this point here. Discuss it with me in PM if you feel the need.
