Ok i have been using the youtube bitrate cheat where you set the length of what you encoded to 10 minutes for a while now but it seems lately that this is no longer working which sucks as it reencodes the video to gash 350kbps bitrate.

can anyone else confirm this.

you need help with cheating the system? eh, maybe the system is better at cheating than you are. :)


i've never tried that hack, but i saw it posted on a different messageboard that it's broken(the hack).

I wish i could get the vids on Youtube to play @ a lower rate!

I was told they stream the vids @ 450k and hardily any of them play well for me :(

could somebody confirm whether the trick still works? (as in, not due to user mistakes in using it).
the previously uploaded HQ vids seem to have remained available online...

yes you are correct in that the original videos are still alive but that is because i dont think they care about the original videos when there trying to make higher quality anyways.

i think that this was not a deliberate attempt to fix this loophole but rather they updated there encoder for the new HQ videos they have been testing out.
