i encoded a movie with a standard 128kbit/s VBR mpeg3 audio stream and the default settings for azid and lame, virtualdub says there is an mp3 audio stream but there are no frames or anything present. using latest version of gknot with windows 2000.

yeah it was encoding from the ac3 stream extracted from the vob's, the ac3 stream was fine, 450 meg file. gknot will encode the movie with the ac3 stream but not the mp3 stream.

VirtualDub can't mux MP3 audio. Be sure to have Nandub installed (and tell GKnot where it's at!).

 i was merely using virtualdub to acknowledge the presence of the audio stream. anyway, i found out it was a problem with the install of the lame codec, so i reinstalled it and it's fine now :)
