Something like "dvdshrink" but for the xvid file? I just want to downgrade the file size of a xvid file of a couple of megabytes without to recompress everythings!

1st. option: If you need JUST few megabytes, you may try cutting the ends and choose video/audio stream copy in Virtual Dub or some other video software which has this option. You don't re compress the input, just cut him...
2nd. option: You can re compress just audio track in some lower quality (bitrate) with aforementioned programs.
3. option: In the case of need for drastic size changes, there is no "dvd-shrink" ("transcode") option applicable to avi files, or files with XviD; without full re compress.
