Audio TS files

I have noticed that some DVDs contain Audio TS files and some do not. Can anyone tell me why? We copy a lot of VHS tapes to DVD and there is never an Audio TS file on the disc.

Usually the audio is stored in the VOBs in the Video TS folder, so the Audio TS folder is not needed. For some unusual audio formats, they can be stored in the Audio TS folder.

Also, DVD-A audio discs store their music in the AUDIO_TS folder. It's completely optional on video discs.
