hey guys I converted this video lastnite, if you look to the bottom right at the road you can see its blocky can anyone suggest why is it bitrate or settings and if settings how can i stop it.

post the source frame, your x264 commandline and let us know which x264 build you are using

Thats roughly the source frame from my dvd and the encoder im using is fairuse wizard with lancoz resizer and the quality at full.

you probably need to stop usign this to be able to fix the problem. VAQ might help, but i have no idea whether you can update the x264 FairUse wizard is using, and i'm not going to download it to test that.

where can i get this vaq and what is it I did start using automkv but it craps out on me now. :(

Use RipBot264. Adaptive Quantization is on by default
