is that meaning to say the blu-ray camp won't allow you to use their videos if you still support HD-DVD?

or is this just saying: we're to cheap to offer the selection that our customers really want?

I hope the EU still looks into this. Its not much of a format war if only one side is let onto the battlefield. Bad thing is large fines 2 years from now wont really mean much.. but it'll be something.

I can't believe that all the bribes offered by the blu camp haven't resulted in more anti-trust lawsuits either...

Oh, they realize it, alright. They just don't care. The arrogance of many american companies is downright offensive, and I live here. Their general attitude seems to be 'you give us what we want, and we give you what we want'.

Such are the fruits of reduced competition.

That's a contradiction, so it obviously is not the truth. At best, they knew HDDVD was dead-end and so they didn't want to buy any more HDDVD titles. At worst, they bought a ton of Sony shares were were paid off before making the decision.

The other big winner is the PS3, watch it come from behind and leave the Xbox 360 in the dust. The PS3 was key to blu-ray's victory now blu-ray will be key to the PS3's dominance.
