Ave,
Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to take my x264 MKV, put it into TMPGEnc Xpress, and encode it to an MPEG2 file so I can author it as an HD-DVD using Ulead Video Studio without re-encoding in ULead.
First issue I have is ...
a) I want to keep the source audio, because TMPGEnc Xpress does not output 5.1 Surround Sound audio. Is it possible to just re-encode the video (x264) to MPEG2, and then use tsMuxer to mux the source audio (DTS, AC3) into the MPEG2?

b) Is this the option I have to select to encode it to a Compliant MPEG2

c) The ones circled in Red and with a "?" are the ones I'm having most difficulty with - Especially "Output Stream Type". Not sure what options to choose - I've chosen the ones I feel are the appropriate choices. I'll be changing the resolution to 1920 X 1080 in there as well

Any tips, suggestions, guidance?
One more thing - Usually I use the 'Calculator' to calculate desired bitrate, keeping target disc size in mind (DVD5/DVD9). But one problem is - if I'm not re-encoding Audio here, and just using the source audio - what method should I use to calculate bitrate?
Thanks!
