Hi

I have a dvd which will play fine on my PC. If i burn it to a DVD and put it on my standalone the audio plays but the speech is behind the music track ( very hard to even hear). i am putting this down to the 5.1 encoding however i have never had this issue before.

What i need to know is - is there a way to recode the audio in a 2 channel mode to hopefully remove this issue. I need something that will do the audio without messing with the video stream and prefereably demux and mux them back together as it goes ( this is not essential but time is an issue with me)

a nice simple solution will do but if you need to elaborate then feel free :) :thanks:

Hi!I have a dvd which will play fine on my PC.If i burn it to a DVD and put it on my standalone the audio plays but the speech is behind the music track.Does the ORIGINAL DVD play properly on your standalone DVD player, or does it exhibit the same problematic audio behavior as does the burned copy?

i do not have the original to check it against, this was given to me as a compressed file which i have burnt to dvd. A si say it runs fine on the PC. My standalone is not currently connected to a 5.1 surround as i have recently moved house. but it appears as if the channels may be set incorrectly ? so i get the music soundtrack as the dominant one.

@deviousdexter

After 4 years of membership, I would have hoped that you'd be aware of rule 6. You are lucky you didn't get a strike.
