WIN XP Partition

hey. i have a laptop with a partition on it. i went to disk management and deleted the partiton. now it says i have a certain gb of space as "unallocated". i want to add this space to my existing c: drive. anyone know how i can do that? i have read the help and they dont say anything about it. if any of you guys know, please inform me. thnx for your time.

I don't think XP can change the size of an existing partition. You need a third party program (like Powerquest's Partition Magic) to resize the partition, or you need to delete the current partition and recreate it. Of course this will destroy your data and you'll have to reinstall XP.

PQ's Partition Magic isn't free. There are free linux tool that can resize partions, but I'm not sure if it can resize NTFS or XP's NTFS.

Oh yeah a word of warning, only the latest PartitionMagic can handle Win XP's NTFS drives... don't make the same mistake I did otherwise you'll screw your drive up!! (Unless you got the lovely Norton Ghost handy :D)
