I recently got AnyDVD HD, and so now I'm trying to rip & compress some of my Blu-Ray DVDs to my computer. For ripping, I just copied the .m2ts file from the DVD with windows explorer. For compression, I'm using the version of VirtualDubMod created by Jake Ludington that allows for opening and editing of .m2ts files.

The movie I'm having a problem with is Spiderman 3. I can't compress the audio. The only compression option available is AC-3 ACM codec. I select this and choose the 128 kBit/sec bitrate. I've been using divx for video compression. I save the file, and it first encodes the video, and that works fine. When it's finished with video, it starts in on the audio and the status window immediately closes. There's no error message. The program just acts as if it's done processing. However, the outputted file has no audio.

Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks

I found the solution to my problem. I needed to use virtualdubmod 1.6 (surround). I didn't realize that previous versions didn't support this.
