hi. can i use 6of9 (max=20) for twopass 2700->3100bitrate encodings?... or EQM V3HR is better for that?..

both are good.
encode a small clip of the movie with both matrices and choose the one you like more.

6of9 was meant to retain grain, and for maximum stability; It's also very sharp, and because of that, it tends to block and ring more so than other cqm's. As far as blocking's concerned, though, nothing should be as bad as the default quantizer H.263. =P

thanks. i use 6of9 with 2900k and min 4 max 9 avarage 4.88>5.50. when i use eqm v3hr then min 3 max 6.. avarage 3.66.

if 6of9 is very sharp. then I must use 6of9.

here is my favourite tv show mpeg2 file. 1.50mb from dvb. the whole show is like this. there is no high actions. full show is like this scenes. if you wanna check it out..

listen to me... encode a small part with both CQMs and judge by yourself which one looks better to you.
words are not pics... ;)
