A friend of mine recorded a TV program on his DVD recorder and asked me to make a copy for him for a mate of his.. I eventually managed to copy it with Nero - no other program would recognise the disk - but the resultant DVD wouldn't play on his friend's DVD player.
Reading his manual, it would appear that the disk is encrypted with CPRM - is there a way of ripping this disk?
And if not, how comes I can back-up my legally obtained DVDs with CloneDVD? Why aren't those encrypted with CPRM?
Thanks.
