Handbrake is a powerful and easy to use DVD ripper/encoder.
Xvid/X264, mp4/MKV/OGM/AVI output, preset for ipod, PSP, etc.
Now a GTK frontend is ready for linux.
Download .deb and sources here : http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=207412&package_id=248322&release_id=553070

If you're interested in a true Linux GUI for HandBrake, please, help out with the development of the official Qt GUI for HandBrake on Linux: http://trac.handbrake.fr/browser/trunk/qt4

I doubt there are 64-bit packages and even the 32-bit ones don't seem to work on Debian Lenny/unstable. I don't think there are 64-bit HandBrakeCLI packages either, so you'll need to try compiling them yourself.

Yeah, found out by myself... It SUCKS!
But you could still use another tool to extract the subtitles... i guess.
@CLI Packages
Yeah, can't find them either...

U can use Ksubtitleripper to convert subs to srt, then remux the file.
So HandbrakeGTK is a little buggy, not all the options are passed to the cli, and mkv support seems to be unstable, wait and see...

Apparently the project is stalled... :/

HandbrakeGTK: I admit I don't like Mono so much to install it just to test the Gui.. my fault. Why Mono?
qHandbrake: I don't remember what's the problem but I get some missing when compiling. I'll make another try when back at home and post the output.
