Keeping the movies original menu

is there a way to have ifoedit keep the on-screen menu that you see after putting the original dvd in the player (ie...play, sceen selection, special features, etc.).

i'd like to get only the movie, but have the original menu come up. then i could press PLAY and nothing else since i only have the movie itself.

this would be good if i wanted to put the dvd in and let it endless-cycle on that menu until i'm ready to watch it.

try extracing the audio and video from vts_0x_0 files and using this in your menus

Anybody have any luck maintaining the original main menus in any of their DVDs?

well.. you could try just getting rid of the vts sets you don't need anymore.. and strip vob ids from the menu vob (vts_xx_0.vob) that contain menu pages you don't need.. take a look at the 2nd of my ifo-edit guides (the one where I strip out the 4:3 layer).. it's the same principle really.
