Hi, I have a 7+ gig ISO file which i would like to burn into a single layer DVD. Obviously, that is not possible. I tried to shrink it to a .UIF file using Magic ISO to compress but it still exceeds 4.4 gb..

is there another way?

@bent

1) Is this an .ISO of your commercial DVD? commercial HD DVD? commercial BluRay DVD? Something else?

2) What software and procedures did you use to create the .ISO?

3) Is your .ISO playable (If it's an .ISO of a video)

3) Duplicate posts are a violation of the Doom9 Forum rules...

someone else ripped it, i do not know...You might want to RE-read the "Announcement" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum, as well as all of the Forum Rules (particularly #6)...

There's a program called DVDShrink that lets you compress a dual-layer dvd (or dvd image file of similarly unmanagable size) to fit on a single dvd.

As for Setarip, YOU brought up the issue of copyrighted/ripped discs, so don't go griping about rule # whatever.

Hi!As for Setarip, YOU brought up the issue of copyrighted/ripped discs, so don't go griping about rule # whatever.

1) Suggesting that a new member re-read the forum's rules is in no way "griping".

2) We're all subject to the same rules at the Doom9 Forums - as you've already discovered with your thread at:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1090862#post1090862

that was closed for a violation of the very same rule...

bent, you've been here long enough to know what pirated material isn't welcome here.

dstarfire, the announcement and our moderating instructions state that once rule six comes up, no help should be offered or more rule six strikes will be handed out.
