Hi
I used the above mentioned to decrypt a movie to my hd in movie only mode. I then tried to run the dvd files through FixVTS. However FixVTS cannot see the video_ts.vob file, is this normal? If i decrypt with customized mode to include the menu then it finds the video_ts.vob file. Thank you for a response lads.

Is it there to begin with? It may be unreferenced and FixVTS might kill it on this basis.
FixVTS does produce a log somewhere. Try looking at that to see what it has done.

Hi!
From what I understand about it, "DVDFab Platinum" should not require the additional use of "FixVTS".
Is there a specific reason you are running the already ripped "movie-only" through "FixVTS"?

Good morning folks.
blutach, when i open fixvts it only sees VTS_01_1.VOB...VTS_01_2.VOB.... VTS_01_3.VOB & VTS_01_4.VOB. It cannot see the VIDEO_TS.VOB file although it is in the folder. Is it because it's ripped in main movie only? (there can be no log if it does no process).
With customized rip where i keep the menu & discard languages & subtitles, fixvts sees the VIDEO_TS.VOB file.

I havent done a backup with dvdfab for quite a while now, but i always use fixvts & then dvd shrink to make an iso cause i like using Imgburn. I use fixvts as i found a guide a while ago on the dvdfab>fixvts>dvd shrink>imgburn method.
Why wouldn't i need FixVTS on an already ripped "movie-only"?
Thanks a million:)

Why wouldn't i need FixVTS on an already ripped "movie-only"?Because, if DVDFab/DVDFab Platinum is doing its job properly, there is no need to do any subsequent "cleaning up" of ripped files (Which would be the only reason to use FixVTS).
Also, if I remember correctly, DVDFab Platinum also has the ability to compress,so there should also be no need to use DVD Shrink...

cyspur then you also might like to hear that the new DVDfab Beta supports Imgburn directly :)

If you ripped in movie only, there should be no VIDEO_TS.VOB (since that is a menu file). It has no business being in the ripping directory.
