View Full Version : Force Film via DGindex or IVTC?

i'm trying to compress some Anime(Jap dvd,R2 ntsc) to x264.opening the vob via DGindex,i see the source is displayed as "film",frame type progressive, 29,970fps. i assume it's suppose to be a 24p source with pulldown flag applyed.the question is:better to use the DGindex's force film option or create the d2v file leaving the "honor pulldown" option and apply a IVTC filter via avisynth?

If it is >95% film then you'll likely be better off with Force Film. But read this thread for caveats:
