Every once in a while i have the need to edit video, and sometimes i do it frame-by-frame. I prefer to use nandub, because i can edit the video, select "save as old avi" and it just edits out the parts i dont want, resynching the audio, and basically copies the file. It's quick and easy.
When i need frame-by-frame control of what i'm working with, this doesn't work. Nandub only edits (snaps) by keyframes. This is usually okay, since keyframes are usually pretty easy to come by, and they're usually in the right place already.
But when they're just not, i'm left with only one option. I output the entire video into an uncompressed AVI (sometimes 100+ gig's), make the edits, then recompress it. Dont usually loose a lot of quality, and since i've got a decent machine it doesn't take all that long.
But seriously, there's gotta be a better way.
