hey guys.
i have looked over the internet and got various snippets about the above need but have got to the point of knowing that the files are different and thats why it blinks when i burn it directly to DVD with nero and i have now downloaded Projectx. i have input the file and pressed demux(whatever that means) and there is .mp2, .mv2 and 2 .idd files. what do i now do to just burn these to dvd so that i have just one file without blinking/stuttering? cheers

my workflow for DVB to DVD

- Demux with ProjectX
- Edit with Cuttermaran
- Mux/Author DVD with IFOedit
- Burn with Nero

cheers mate but i need a guide if poss. as mentioned i have done the demux with projectx, do i use all the outputted files as mentioned above? what is the mux part you mention?
as you can see i am very new to this and didn't know anything about the process till i came across the need to put the dvb to dvd so i am trying to learn.

i dont want edit anything out such as adverts as the only reason i need to do this is for the missus to watch ER that i recorded for her so i will use dvdRW and just erase it after. i merely want it to play without the blinkg/stuttering

@marc.knuckle:
Could you please cut and post a small sample of your video?
There might be someone who could help you with the blinking/stuttering. Less than 30 seconds is enough.

Use DGIndex, get it here, the 1st post:

Mark a sample using the buttons [ and ], select File -> Save Project and Demux Video and upload the resulting small sample m2v file somewhere, eg. http://www.maxupload.com, http://mihd.net/, http://www.rapidshare.com
