Avi to DVD

hi, i am having a little trouble encoding a avi file at 29fps to dvd format at 25fps. i have tryed AVI2DVD and The Filmfactory as i have never had any problems encoding videos before, but this is the first i have encoded one at 29fps normaly they are 23fps and when converted they play fine. but when trying to do 29fps to 25fps the video comes out all jerky and the sound sounds all slow and drawn out. i have tryed both CCE and HCenc encoders. like i said before i normaly encode avi files at 23fps to dvd format at 25fps no problem at all using the HCene encoder,.

Hi!this is the first i have encoded one at 29fps normaly they are 23fps and when converted they play fine. but when trying to do 29fps to 25fpsPlease clarify - Why are you initially encoding from your original source material (presumably a DVD) to .AVI at 29Fps if you want 25Fps? Or, why do you have to convert to 25Fps?

Forgive me, but I'm having a bit of a hard time following your logic. Most folks who are confronted with the need to convert NTSC DVDto PAL format usually do it directly.

Perhaps my question wasn't clear - and the simplest way for me to understand the necessity of what you state you're trying to do, would be if you'd be good enough to load the .AVI you created into GSpot - and post a screencapture of the GSpot window back here...

Have you tried AVStoDVD? It is one-click-app suitable to your needs.

sorry for not being very clear, i'll try again, i have a video file in avi format, with is playing at 29fps, i want to make it in to dvd format at 25fps, but when i try to do this using avi2dvd oe the film factory the film is all jerky and the sound it all slow!

i have attached the image, and do u have any preferance on a gd program to convert avi files to dvd?

Where did you get the AVI file from?

I've had a lot of success with DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/) with mixed sources. Might want to give it a try.

I think it's obvious where it came from now. Reread rule 6 and the announcement at the top of the newbies forum.
