CCE 2.50 Won't Work In WinXp PRO

Hi There,

I've got a full working version of CCE 2.50 (IF YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN ;) ).

I'm using WinXp Pro but CCE will not work properly. It will make the .vaf file and then when it starts to to a 3 pass vbr encode it only goes so far and freeze's.

This happens with any avi wither it be a DVDrip using DVD2AVI and Vfapi or captured avi using my TV capture card or a downloaded Divx movie.

I've searched the forum to see if there was anyone else is having the same problem and the solutions that where provided i tried but still it does not work.

Must i downgrade to Windows98SE again to get it work or doe's ne1 know of any other things to try.

Try to deenable cce´s wrong crc-processing

Thx for replying and the link to the patch.

I applied the patch to CCE and now it will not even make the .VAF file
it comes up with this error ----

cce encoding failed: ICDecompressEx() failed (-100)

After about a mintue.

Probably not what you want to hear, but I was having the same prob under xp...after trying a bunch of fixes that didn't work I did a clean install of xp and CCE 2.5 works flawlessly now...

Just an idea if you have no luck otherwise...btw: it would be awesome if someone was able to discover what (if anything) is conflicting with CCE...this prob is so prevelant.

:D Have had that problem too. Cce 2.5 don't accept avi files that are bigger then 2 gb and you have to make the difference bigger between avg bitrate and max bitrate. What I mean is, use 1800 for avg and 2450 for max bitrate. It works for me, don't know if it will work for you.
