Ps3 question?

Greetings,

I know i'm in the right place, just need to find the right thread/area.

I want to convert my dvd's/vob files to ps3 compatible avi's or divx (not sure which one i'm supposed to use or if there the same).

I've tried, "ps3 video 9", "handbrake" and "super", none of these programs work. I've tried to convert from files from my hard drive and from the disc itself, no worky!

Is there a "one click" program on this site? Or could someone point me to the right section of this forum, though a better idea would be to tell me which program would work. I've search "ps3", didn't come up w/ anything substantial. Any help would be great.

I believe the commercial program "DVDFab Platinum" (Not to be confused with several other similarly name dprograms) has that capability.

BTW - Did the ISOPuzzle-created .ISO image file result in a successful DVD for you?

Isopuzzle works...i was very suprised. Thanks for your help. The video plays fine, naturally glitchy where the scratch was. The video freezes on my portable polaroid player, but of course plays fine on the one and only Oppo!

As far as the Ps3 is concerned, what about this GordianKnot program or the Fffshow, whatever there called. Will those work? Steep learning curve?

1) The reason I asked if ISOPuzzle worked for you is because I was disappointed to note that, while members (including me) offered you assistance, you never let us know if the suggestions resolved your problem. I'm glad to hear they did ;>}

2) I've suggested "DVDFab Platiinum" to you. Perhaps other members can respond to your question regarding Gordian Knot and FFDShow

I have made xvid avi files that play fine in the PS3 using GordianKnot. Nothing special in the settings, either.
