I've used DVD Shrink to create loads of DVD rips (film with 5.1, no extras or menus) I want to keep the 5.1 sound when I convert it to an Mpeg 2 file, how do I do this?
When I used staxrip it can work with virtual dub I think, to rip the AC3 sound out of the recording and merge it with the compressed video (unfortunately it only supports highly compressed MP4 formats) would it be similar to this or do you have to use wav files.
The reason I want to do this is because my tvix multimedia hard drive seems to have problems with the IFO and .vob files (it doesn't resume properly, despite using many repair programs etc). It can bookmark MPEG 2 files, which is why I want them.
