Im looking for a cheap but good regionfree(or one that you can make region free) dvd player that automatically switches between pal 60 or pal 50 when playing ntsc or pal movies.

Its really super important to me that the playback isnt choppy and is played back correct. I dont want 3:2 pull down on a pal movie ore wise versa or worse small hick ups.

also i want it to support divx 3.11 and xvid with subs.

and with usb 2.0.

Preferebly for less than 50 euro..if more i want it do be able to uppscale and have hdmi..

Anyone got any ideas. I live in europe, so naturally it has to be aviable here.

thanks in advance.

Philips DVP5982.

Not sure about the pricing or if it's available in your area. It's worth a look.

I'm not sure on the 5980 but the 5982 does play both PAL and NTSC. It's not region free out of the box but this is the trick you have to do to make it region free.

Hold the Stop key on the remote to Open the DVD tray
press Setup
select Preference
Press 1,3,8,9,3,1
Press up/down key to select "0

Remember! The tray MUST be open in order for the Preferences menu to show up on Setup.
