Ok so Ive done the ripping but now I want venture out into sharpening my movies any ideas. I have avisynth and virtualdub.Thansk

If you have Avisynth, you can use one of the sharpen filters available. Test them out and see what's the most suitable for your needs.

i dont understand how avisynth works i have 2.5 installed but i dont know what ot put in the avs to make it so i dont have to recompress the file.

Hi!

As far as I know, if you apply a filter of any kind, the program will have to re-encode/re-compress.

If you're only concerned about sharpening on playback, check out the various software players available, many of which can apply such effects "on the fly"...

dont know if youve seen his movies the guy is called hdtv-fan and he converts dvds to really good in a small file like 1 gig but i wanna know how he gets em sharp can i use virtualdub for this and recompress.
