View Full Version : Rebuild Menu ISO?

I'm trying to backup HOT FUZZ but DVD Rebuilder only "finds" the first couple of minutes of the movie. On a closer inspection the ISO file containing the details of the movie seems to have been truncated and so does not list all the of the VOB files etc. Is there any way to repair this file (using ISOedit maybe?) to reconstitute the disc? Everything compresses fine when you take the movie separately but ideally I'd like to have a complete backup.

Might be a bad rip, What version is it, PAL or NTSC?
I backed up hot fuzz "R4" ages ago with no problems..

It's the PAL version. Yeah, the extras disc worked without any problems. So I'm guessing that it is either re-rip it or produce a make-shift backup with a new menu/chapter system?

Hi!
The obvious choice is to simply (after cleaning) re-rip your original DVD

Yeah, re-ripping it would be the obvious and easiest way of doing it but I was wondering (from a geeky point of view) if there was a way of fixing the ISO file as all of the VOBS and everything else I have has ripped fine.

You can possibly repair to just a movie-only version by taking the biggest VOB set and creating new IFOs with IFOEdit. But if you're missing any of that VOB set you're out of luck -- since that's where the audio/video is.
