Hello,

I want to rebuild a movie blanking all extra segments so I will only keep the menu and movie, so I selected this option.

Now I get the following:
Overall Bitrate: 2.475 Kbs
Space for Video: 3.914.178 Kb
Redistributing using Base_Q 41
Blanking all EXTRA Segments
--Feature before/after: 2.572 Kbs / 4.382 Kbs
--FEATURE does not require reencoding.

Does this mean that 4.382 Kbs is my new overall (average) bitrate? (and the old 2.475 Kbs doesn't count anymore?)

Thanks!

Yes. And that once you press rebuild, it will extract the feature and rebuild it without quality loss.

Yes. But it also looks like you don't need to reencode at all.

[Edit] blutach beat me to the punch... :)

Is that a new feature ? I've always wanted to know the 'new' bitrate after blanking sections. The editor gives some feedback but not what I'd like. This looks like it does now.

I just checked the release notes for 1.26.6 and don't see this mentioned unless it's part of the "other fixes...." that's always included. :D

Yes, I didn't need to reencode but if I did use dvd shrink I would loose the menu.

The DVD had so many files I didn't want to use dvd remake.

DVD Rebuilder handled the job perfectly :)
